Yours still looks ok. Could be it got surprised by sudden movement and darkened a little. In fact, if I were posting an advertisement, I'd use the second photo. Better contrast. :D

Jinhoe's has that 'I'mnotgoingtolastmuchlonger' look.

Not your fault, buddy. Just like I swore I didn't handle or scare that snake. I guess some of these easily spooked animals must be slowly coaxed into a padded box during capture and allowed to emerge on their own to reduce as much stress as possible.

ps. Last call for that free offer HAR! I spoke to a guy in a camera shop yesterday. Surprisingly enough, he took his out. Very same model. It may be antique and a bit bulky at 4 megapixels but takes much better photos than the current 8 - 10 megapixel compacts.

I must have been very lucky with those three fellas then. Humidity was pretty low although the temperature was at least in the mid 20s inside the tank. They did and looked pretty ok. Was even feeding right after being traded in at the petshop so the shopkeeper was quite satisfied with the exchange although she had her reservations at first when I mentioned on an earlier trip that I had chameleons to trade in.

chameleon are really nice animals.. hope can learn more bout them like what the main reason they easily die in malaysia.. the temperature? if its bout stress, as progen said through his experience, stress are not that fatal.. and from the videos i saw in youtube, those big chameleon breeders hold and display them even without much imitation of their actual habitat, but they still healthy n doesnt stress..

so isit bcoz temperature here?

and jinhoe said his chameleon open its mouth b4 die.. maybe dehydrated? the coco fibre is the result of the chameleon licking the substrate looking for water..?

becoz theres this one person i couldnt recall who, his bearded dragon died in the same manner.. open mouth.. it was found out that it died bcoz of dehydration..

Perhaps it's how they were caught or transported. It's quite common for even mammals to retain signs of stress once they've been subjected to it during capture or transportation. What more reptiles.

Yea, they're pretty hard to keep in our weather.

Many have died in my hands too :(
